Fire Tree is a personal wealth-planning journal. This policy describes the data handled by the iOS app and the limited services involved in purchases.
Balances, deposits, notes, goals, reminders, settings, and tree progress are stored locally in Fire Tree's app data on your device. Fire Tree does not create an account, connect to financial institutions, upload this journal data to our servers, sell it, or use it for advertising.
If you enable iCloud Backup for Fire Tree, Apple may include a copy of the app's locally stored data in your device backup, subject to Apple's backup and retention policies. Fire Tree does not control those backups. You can manage them in your Apple device and iCloud settings.
Fire Tree uses Apple for payments and RevenueCat to validate purchases and restore Fire Tree Plus. When the purchase service is used, Apple and RevenueCat receive purchase-related information such as a receipt, product and purchase status, and RevenueCat's anonymous app-user identifier. They do not receive your balances, deposits, notes, goals, or account names from Fire Tree.
Share cards and exports are generated on your device. They leave the app only when you choose a destination in the iOS share sheet. The recipient or service you choose then handles the shared material under its own privacy policy.
Fire Tree requests Face ID only when you turn on the app lock. It requests photo-library add access only when you choose to save a tree card. If you choose Allow Contacts on the invite screen, Fire Tree reads a limited list of contact display names on your device to suggest people to invite. Contact names, phone numbers, and email addresses are not uploaded to Fire Tree or RevenueCat. If you do not grant access, sharing still works through the iOS share sheet.
Choosing Delete local data removes the current Fire Tree data and local recovery copies from the device. It cannot erase a prior iCloud device backup; manage those backups in Apple settings.
We may update this policy when the app's data practices change. For privacy questions or deletion help, contact [email protected].
